The 4th International Scientific-Professional Conference on Food Industry By-Products was held on June 6th and 7th in Osijek, where for the 4th consecutive time, the circular economy in food processing and production was promoted, presenting the potential for the use of food industry by-products in different sectors.

A representative of the Karlovac University of Applied Sciences, Marijana Blažić, PhD, presented the Agrinext project (Agricultural and Rural Excellence Incubator and Platform for the Exchange of Competencies) with the poster presentation "SMART AGRICULTURE IN COMBINATION WITH ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES AND ITS MULTIFUNCTIONALITY," co-authored by Ines Cindrić, Elizabeta Zandona, Martina Stvorić, and Karmen Matković Melki. The presentation highlighted the importance of smart agricultural economy and how more productive and sustainable production can be achieved based on a more precise and efficient approach.
