As part of Science Week Ireland 2024, the AgriNext project presented its "Green Job = Dream Job" Video Trailer Competition to over 300 primary and secondary school students at the Tipperary Festival of Science. This event, hosted at the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) Campus in Thurles on November 13, sparked enthusiasm among students for careers in sustainable agriculture and green innovation. The competition encourages students to creatively showcase why green careers in agriculture are not only essential for the future but can also be fulfilling and inspiring pathways.

The competition invites students to create a short video trailer (1–3 minutes) that highlights their vision of green jobs in agriculture and why they’re essential for a sustainable future. With themes like eco-friendly farming practices, technology in agriculture, and conservation, the competition aims to make students aware of the vast potential for green careers in agriculture, from scientists and engineers to conservationists and data analysts.

AgriNext’s goal with this video trailer competition is to help young people imagine their future in a field that combines innovation, environmental responsibility, and cutting-edge technology—demonstrating that green jobs truly can be dream jobs.
