What AgriNext Partners say about the project

17. 3. 2025

Dr Anthony Oyeogbe, TUS:

"The central focus of the AgriNext Project is the business incubator, designed to foster a dynamic and collaborative learning environment. Beginning in July 2025, the newly established AgriNext incubators in Slovenia, Spain, Croatia, and Ireland will provide practical training, mentoring, and networking opportunities for students, farmers, and aspiring agripreneurs, equipping them with the skills needed to establish economically viable, climate-resilient, and digital-enabled multifunctional agriculture startups. The AgriNext incubator is more than a learning lab and application centre — it is an ecosystem for innovation, entrepreneurship, education-business collaboration, and sustainable development of rural areas. As new multifunctional agriculture startups emerge, the incubator will foster job creation, income diversification, and rural revitalisation, reducing migration to urban areas across the partner countries".

Marija Mehle, KGZ Sloga:

"At KGZ Sloga, we believe that Slovenia is a unique country, with its invaluable beauty and small size, where only small farms, alongside "large farms," can provide an important part of food security. Large farms are already businesses focused on whether it's profitable or not, while on smaller farms, production is still passed down through generations, alongside other activities such as milk, livestock, wood, and more. To this end, KGZ Sloga actively participates in projects like AgriNext, where, together with partners who educate new professionals for the agricultural sector, we develop new content and adapt the education system to meet market needs. At the same time, we connect internationally in the fields of agriculture, new knowledge, and promoting agriculture as a remarkable profession".
