This course is aimed at people who are passionate about their coastal landscape, heritage, culture, and ecology with an enthusiasm for getting outdoors and sharing this with others. This course will include classroom-based learning, and online learning, as well as regular field trips, site visits, workshops, guest speakers, and from regulatory agencies.

Learning outcomes
On completion of this course, learners will have the knowledge, skills, and competence to provide accurate, informative, and positive guiding experiences demonstrating a wide knowledge of the coastal environment including ecosystems, natural history, and cultural heritage, and promote the natural and cultural history of coastal Ireland. Learners will be ideally placed to source employment or self-employment in a number of outdoor education, guiding, and tourism-related sectors.
